1. Made-to-Order — How It Works

Every Charlie Studio speaker — Django, Dizzy, and Mingus — is built individually to order in our Warsaw workshop. No stock is held in advance. Your order triggers a dedicated production process: we source materials, allocate workshop time, and build your speakers specifically for you.

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Charlie Studio does not store your card details — all payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe's encrypted, PCI DSS Level 1 certified infrastructure.

2. Payment — By Product

Django & Dizzy — Full Payment at Order

For Django and Dizzy, the full order value is paid at the time of ordering via a Stripe Payment Link. After submitting your order enquiry, you will receive a secure payment link by email. Payment is completed in one step.

Accepted methods: credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and bank transfer (SWIFT/IBAN).

Order submitted: Charlie Studio sends a Stripe Payment Link (Within 24 hours)

Payment completed: Order confirmed, production begins (Immediately upon payment)

Order Confirmation Email: Estimated lead time and full order details (Within 24 hours of payment)

Mid-production update: Progress email from the workshop (Approx. halfway through lead time)

Speakers ready: Dispatch confirmed, tracking number sent (Per estimated lead time)

Mingus — 50% Deposit, 50% Before Dispatch

Due to its higher value and build complexity, Mingus orders use a two-stage payment model via Stripe Deposit Invoice.

Stage 1 — Deposit (50% of total order value)

After your order is confirmed, Charlie Studio sends a Deposit Invoice via Stripe stating the total order value, the deposit amount due, and when the balance will be requested. You pay through a Stripe-hosted payment page. Production begins only after the deposit is received.

Your deposit funds the materials and initial labour allocated specifically to your Mingus build. It also secures your place in the production schedule.

Stage 2 — Balance Invoice (remaining 50%)

When your Mingus is complete and ready for dispatch, Charlie Studio sends a Balance Invoice via Stripe for the remaining 50% plus the agreed shipping cost. You have 7 days to complete this payment. Dispatch follows within 1–3 business days of payment confirmation.

Deposit paid (50%): Order confirmed, production begins (Immediately upon payment)

Order Confirmation Email: Estimated lead time confirmed (Within 24 hours of deposit)

Mid-production update: Progress email with photo (Approx. halfway through lead time)

Production complete: Balance Invoice sent; 50% + shipping (When speakers are ready)

Balance paid: Dispatch scheduled (Within 7 days of balance invoice)

Dispatch: Shipped fully insured with tracking (1–3 business days after balance)

3. Cancellation Policy

Django / Dizzy: Before production confirmed as started -> Full refund within 14 days

Django / Dizzy: After production confirmed as started -> Partial refund at Charlie Studio's discretion; materials cost may be deducted

Mingus: Before production confirmed as started -> Full deposit refund within 14 days

Mingus: After production confirmed as started -> Deposit retained to cover incurred material and labour costs

All models: After dispatch -> No cancellation — see Returns & Warranty section

4. Currencies and VAT

All invoices are issued in EUR. PLN pricing is shown on the website for reference. Polish VAT (23%) applies to EU orders. For B2B EU orders, reverse charge VAT may apply — provide your VAT number at checkout. No VAT is charged on orders outside the EU; local import duties may apply.

5. Lead Times

Production times are estimated from deposit (or full payment) receipt to dispatch:

Django: 6–10 weeks

Dizzy: 6–10 weeks

Mingus: 8–12 weeks

These are estimates and may vary. Your confirmed lead time is included in the Order Confirmation Email.

6. Shipping Destinations

We ship to:

· Poland — standard delivery

· European Union — all member states

· Switzerland — including Swiss customs documentation

· United Kingdom — post-Brexit import duties apply (see below)

· Other international destinations — contact us at hello@charliestudio.eu before ordering to confirm availability and cost

7. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated individually based on destination, dimensions, and weight. The exact cost is confirmed in writing before production begins — you will not be charged without prior approval. Shipping is invoiced as part of the balance payment (or separately for Django/Dizzy if applicable).

8. Packaging, Insurance and Tracking

Your speakers are packed in custom protective packaging designed for international transit. All shipments are fully insured for the declared value of the goods. A tracking number is sent by email at dispatch. We ship via DHL, UPS, or equivalent international carriers.

We recommend keeping the original packaging for future transport.

9. Customs, Duties and Import Taxes

For deliveries outside the EU (Switzerland, UK, and other international destinations), any customs duties, import taxes, and handling fees are the sole responsibility of the customer. Charlie Studio will not be liable for delays caused by customs clearance. Please check your country's import regulations before placing an order.

10. Delivery Times After Dispatch

Poland: 1–2 business days

EU: 3–7 business days

Switzerland: 3–5 business days

UK: 5–10 business days

Other international: 7–14 business days

11. Reporting Damage on Delivery

Inspect your delivery carefully upon receipt. If your package appears damaged:

1. Accept the delivery and note any visible damage with the courier.

2. Document everything — photograph the outer packaging and the product before and during unpacking. Video documentation is strongly encouraged.

3. Report within 48 hours of delivery for visible damage, or within 5 business days for concealed damage discovered during unpacking.

4. Email hello@charliestudio.eu with your order number, photos/video, and a description of the damage.

Charlie Studio will manage the claim process with the carrier on your behalf.

12. Failed or Missed Delivery

If a delivery attempt fails, contact your carrier using the tracking number provided. If the package is returned to us due to an incorrect address or unclaimed delivery, re-shipping costs are charged to the customer.
